The 2013 Direct/Interactive Marketing Research Summit sponsored by the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) will be held on October 12-13, 2013 in Chicago.
This 2-day conference provides marketing educators a forum for direct/interactive marketing, including digital marketing, social media marketing, and database marketing topics. The conference focuses on both marketing education and research. Full papers as well as abstracts will be accepted. This event is a must-attend for academics and Ph.D. students who are interested in pursuing research and teaching in this dynamic sector. There are numerous opportunities for academics to exchange ideas and learn from their colleagues and participating industry executives.
Full-time academics and PhD students are invited to receive a complimentary pass to attend the DMA2013 Annual Conference & Exhibition which follows.

Journal of Advertising Education and Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing again have partnered with the Research Summit to provide publishing opportunities.

A Case Writers' Workshop is held on Saturday, October 12 (sponsored by Jacobs & Clevenger, Chicago Association of Direct Marketing Educational Foundation-CADMEF, and DMEF). The deadline for case submissions is June 1 (contact Workshop Director Susan Jones should you require an extension).
The Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award recognizes teaching, speaking, and research in direct and interactive marketing. At the Awards Luncheon and Keynote to be held Sunday, October 14, Shankar-Spiegel Best Dissertation Proposal, Best Case Writers, Best Paper, Journal of Interactive Marketing and the Clarke Award are among the honors bestowed.
