DMEF Overview
Talk to
leaders in direct/interactive marketing and you’ll soon discover an issue that plagues companies large and small: the challenge to find a pool of new and skilled talent that is prepared for today’s marketplace.
The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation is dedicated to those in the industry through its
mission:
To attract, educate, and place top college students in the business of direct/interactive marketing.Established in 1966 by members of the
Direct Marketing Association who wanted to give something back to the community, the DMEF is a 501(c)(3), non-profit educational foundation supported by tax-deductible contributions. It is the only national foundation of its kind solely committed to introducing – and in fact, engaging –
professors and
college students in the thriving business of direct/interactive marketing. The DMEF’s programs are designed to encourage participation, equip professors with the most up-to-date
educational resources and prepare students for successful careers in this rapidly evolving field.
To bring direct/interactive marketing instruction to the college campus, attract new talent and help students learn about direct/interactive marketing career opportunities, the Foundation publishes teaching resources, career information, and the academic research journal,
Journal of Interactive Marketing®.
DMEF offers Corporations the opportunity to work with students and professors through many programs including a Speakers Bureau where practitioners can volunteer to present their knowledge in the classroom, a Research Summit where academics and professionals alike contribute to research that advances the field, our i-GoDirect job bank with access to top level interns and entry level hires, and sponsorships. We encourage individuals and corporations that seek to maintain a steady stream of new talent to give generously and join our Leaders' Circle to support this vital link to the world of higher learning.
